Protecting your property, your health, and your peace of mind — the right way.
At Texguard Environmental Solutions, we follow strict state-regulated procedures for mold remediation. As a licensed contractor in Texas, our work is guided by protocols developed by independent, licensed Mold Assessment Consultants (MACs) to ensure your home or business is handled correctly and legally.
Before any mold remediation begins, a licensed Mold Assessment Consultant (MAC) is required to perform a full assessment and write a detailed protocol. This protocol becomes our blueprint for the remediation project and ensures the process is safe, legal, and effective. This isn’t optional — in Texas, licensed remediation requires a third-party consultant to inspect, test, and plan the job.
Following the consultant's protocol, we establish full containment of the affected areas using plastic barriers, negative air pressure machines, and HEPA filtration. This protects the rest of the property and prevents cross-contamination during remediation.
Texas regulations were put in place to protect you — before these laws, some companies used to tear apart entire homes for minor mold. That’s why third-party oversight exists today: to keep things honest and safe.
We remove all materials that are identified in the protocol — typically drywall, insulation, carpet, and any other porous materials that cannot be cleaned. Our technicians follow strict procedures to ensure mold is removed safely, and the site is cleaned down to the structure.
After removal, we HEPA vacuum all surfaces to eliminate any settled spores. Air scrubbers run continuously throughout the job to filter out mold particles from the air, improving air quality during and after the work.
We apply EPA-registered antimicrobial solutions to treat all cleaned surfaces and prevent mold from returning. However, it’s important to understand: if moisture returns, mold can come back. That’s why fixing the source of the moisture is key to long-term results.
Once remediation is complete, a third-party Mold Assessment Consultant will return to conduct clearance testing. This step is required to obtain a Certificate of Mold Damage Remediation (CMDR) in Texas. This certificate protects both homeowners and contractors — it documents that the mold was handled properly, according to state law.
At Texguard, we’re here to make this process simple, safe, and legal. If you suspect mold in your home or business:
